Rubbish removal

Rubbish removal in the Hunter

We turn up, load it and take it away the same visit. No bin on the driveway, and no lifting for you.

Removal, not a skip

These are two different products and it is worth knowing which one you are asking for. A skip is a bin we drop off and leave with you, and you load it at your own pace. Rubbish removal is a truck and a crew: we do the carrying, the load goes straight on, and there is nothing left behind when we drive off.

Removal costs more per cubic metre than a skip does, for the obvious reason that the labour is included. It is worth it when the alternative is a bin you cannot fill, cannot fit, or cannot leave sitting out the front for days.

Just need the bin?

When removal is the right call

  • There is nowhere to put a bin

A unit, a townhouse, a terrace with no off-street parking, or a strata property where you would need approval to leave a bin on common land.

  • Nobody can do the lifting

A bin only works if someone fills it. If the job involves furniture, whitegoods or a full house and there is nobody to carry it out, removal is the answer.

  • It needs to be gone today

A skip has to be delivered, filled and collected. Removal is one visit, so it suits an inspection, a settlement or a handover with a date on it.

  • It is a small load

A single mattress, a fridge, a couple of old couches. Hiring a bin for that is more bin than job.

What to tell us when you enquire

Removal is quoted on what is there and how hard it is to get to, so the more you can describe, the closer the quote. Roughly how much there is, what the heaviest or most awkward item is, and what floor it is on. A photo does more than a paragraph.

Mention anything that needs handling differently as well. Fridges and air conditioners hold refrigerant gas that has to come out first, and e-waste, mattresses and treated timber usually go through their own streams. This becomes a problem if we don't know about it. The key: let us know.

Same rules on what we cannot take

Asbestos, liquids, paint, chemicals, gas bottles, tyres and batteries are out whether it is a bin or a truck.
